Knight Mason's Sash - Red (Knight of the East and West)
The red sash of the Order of Knight Masons, worn for the degree of Knight of the East and West - formerly the Royal Order, and the third of the Order's three degrees, in which Zerubbabel returns to his fellow countrymen in Jerusalem.
The Order of Knight Masons is an Irish chivalric Order governed by the Grand Council of Knight Masons in Dublin. Its three degrees - Knight of the Sword, Knight of the East, and Knight of the East and West - were formerly known as the Red Cross Degrees, and are often called the "Green" degrees of the Irish masonic canon. Each is centred on Zerubbabel, Prince of the House of Judah, and the return of the Jewish people from Babylon to rebuild the Second Temple.
Membership of the Order is open to Master Masons who are subscribing members of both a Mark Lodge and a Royal Arch Chapter.
Irish Constitution, made in the traditional pattern.
